Kiran C. Wagle is an inclusive-development professional, with more than 25 years’ experience in designing and managing development programmes and projects. He holds Master’s degrees in Disability Studies (Law & Policy) from Ireland, Master’s degree in European Studies from Poland, Czech Republic and France; and Master’s degree in Sociology from Nepal. He has managed number of development projects, and carried out various researches in social development. He joined Purnima as a Deputy Team Leader and Leave No One Behind Lead Advisor in 2018. Currently, he is working as Team Leader of Purnima, a programme funded by the UKaid and managed by Mott MacDonald, in Nepal.
Rabindra brings over 18 years of experience in economic development, inclusive growth, market system development, private sector engagement, innovation and infrastructure development. He is a trained market system development practitioner and seasoned manager with extensive experience in designing and managing complex and innovative projects funded by donors like DFID, EC. He has worked for government, UN agencies and INGOs in Nepal. He also has significant regional experience, in the countries like Bhutan, Bangladesh, India and Myanmar, where he led various short-term assignments on innovation and market system development for agencies like UNDP, ICIMOD, FAO. Rabindra holds master’s degree in Engineering & management . He also has Master’s degree in rural development
Simon is a multi-disciplinary water management specialist who first came to Nepal in 1971 when he worked with the Britain Nepal Medical Trust. From 1975-1980 he worked in the Koshi Hills on UK Aid-funded programmes for rural water supply and small-scale irrigation, and from 1993-2000 he led the Bagmati Basin Water Management Improvement Strategy (NPC & World Bank) and the Rajapur Irrigation Improvement Project (DOI and ADB). He worked on the CDKN study on climate resilience of irrigation from 2015 to 2017, and was Team Leader for Purnima 2017-2020. He has worked in over 20 Districts across Nepal and has also worked in Myanmar, Pakistan, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia on a diverse range of water resources, infrastructure and social development programmes. He holds Masters Degrees in Engineering Science and Irrigation Engineering.
Dina Khater is a Chartered Water and Environmental Manager with water and sanitation engineering background and more than ten years of experience in the water sector in the UK and abroad. She is currently a project manager in the International Water, Environment and Climate Change Division of Mott MacDonald’s International Development Services Unit, and has experience in project management, development of master plans and feasibility studies, undertaking technical due diligence, Public-Private Partnership (PPP), Non-Revenue Water (NRW) reduction, creating embodied carbon and embodied water models for assets, surge analysis and costing construction projects (opex, capex, WLC). Dina has worked on projects in many countries including the United Kingdom, Nepal, Sudan, Rwanda, Egypt, Malawi, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Kenya.
With academic background of Masters in Sociology/anthropology and Bachelors in Civil Engineering, Guna Raj has over two decades of professional experience in development sector (specially WASH and rural infrastructure) at national and international levels in the areas of project formulation, project management, quality control, evidence based advocacy, research and development, human resource development, policy and strategies formulation, and monitoring and evaluation. Guna Raj has worked with National Planning Commission, Ministries and Departments, Development Banks ( (World Bank and ADB), bilateral agencies (EU, FINNIDA, JICA), INGOs (WaterAid, CARE Nepal, Plan International, SNV), UN agencies (UNICEF, UNDP, UN Habitat and WSSCC) and international development companies (Plan Center, Ecolabel, Niras, Typsa)
He was also Country Coordinator for Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council for six years from 2013 to 2018. He also worked as Project Management monitoring Specialist in intermittent basis for six years from 2011 to 2017 for Price Water Cooperhouse (PWC) in Cambodia. He was the architect of Open Defecation Free (ODF) campaign in Nepal by writing Sanitation and Hygiene Master Plan in 2011.
Mr Shrestha is founder National Convener for Menstrual Health and Hygiene Management Partners Alliance (MHM PA) in Nepal since 2017.
Currently he is with Mott MacDonald as Senior Infrastructure Manager to lead Infrastructure output Area of Purnima Project.
Luna Ghimire is a Monitoring Evaluation and Research professional with over one and half decade long experience in the sector. She joined Purnima project as a Monitoring Evaluation and Research Specialist since November 2019. Before Purnima, she worked in different INGOs like Plan International; FHI-360; Save the Children; WWF and GIZ among others. She has experience of working from grass-root to national level. She has demonstrated expertise in Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Qualitative and Quantitative Research, and Data Quality Audit and design different MIS system by using different application. She has master’s degree in Sociology.
Sarita Shrestha is a Chartered Accountant . She has more than eight years of experience in finance, accounting, and auditing. She is currently a Finance Manager in Mott MacDonald Nepal Branch. She takes into account key financial considerations when coming up with budgetary planning for both short and long term aims of the organization, preparation of financial statements and upholding internal control system. She has been pivotal in helping the Team Leader, Deputy Team Leader, Program Manager, and management to navigate the organization towards financial growth and prosperity.
Padam Singh Thagunna is an Agriculture and livelihood development professional with 23 years of experience in managing, coordinating and liaising community development projects mainly focused on poverty reduction and supporting vulnerable people. He holds master’s degrees in Management and B.Sc. Agriculture from Indian Government Universities. He has been involved in various projects in capacity of Project Officer, District coordinator and Manager with different donor funded projects of USAID, UK Aid, CIDA and the World Bank in Nepali national and international NGOs.
Purusottam is a development professional with more than 14 years of program management, technical support, and innovative business experiences in the field of agriculture development, food security, value chain, and climate change-related projects supported by major donors like UKAID and USAID. Previously, he was engaged with many national and international organizations in Nepal and India and enabled thousands of households towards equitable economic growth, inclusive societal development, and environmental sustainability. He has also worked with various public and private sector agents and support them towards extension and advisory services. He is a skilled professional in climate-smart agriculture and market systems development. He has completed Bachelor in Agriculture Sciences and Masters in Environmental Studies and Resource Management from TERI SAS, India and received a prestigious government scholarship. Mr. Purusottam is passionate about learning and making a positive contribution to society.
